Create Setup (Mobile)

Create Setups directly from your phone to give your team the information they need and ensure To‑Dos are assigned correctly.

To create setups, you must have the "Build Setups" permission. For more information on different role permissions visit Edit Role Permissions

Navigate into Build Setup

  1. From the Team tab, select the Area, Day, and Daypart you want to build a setup for
  2. Tap on the Setup you would like to build
    • The leader of the Shift will also have Tasks on their Home Screen to build Setups for their Shift
  3. Now you're ready to start building!

Position First: Place Employees in Positions

You can place employees in each individual Position

  1. Tap the + Add Employee button on the position you'd like to place employees in
    • This will automatically place them in the position for the duration of the Setup (as long as they're scheduled for the entire setup time)
  2. Tap the employee you want in this Position
    • If you would like to add more than one employee to a position, tap + Add Employee again

Roster First: Place employees in Positions

You can also add employees to Positions from the Roster

  1. Tap the Roster icon at the top right
    • This will open the Roster, which is the schedule pulled from your scheduling platform
  2. Tap to select the employee you'd like to place in a position
  3. Tap + Add Position
  4. Select the position(s) you want to add the employee to
  5. Tap Save

Change the Timeframe an Employee is in a Position

If you have an employee who will be in a Position for a portion of the Setup timeframe you can tell Ecolab KitchenIQ™ how long they will be there

  1. Tap on the Employee
  2. Adjust their time in that Position
  3. Tap Save

Add an Employee to a Second Position

Add an employee to another Position if they will be moved during the timeframe of the Setup

  1. Tap the employee
  2. Tap Add Position and Select the Position
  3. Tap Save

Edit Setup Positions

Setups automatically have the positions set through templates made by leaders, but these can be changed when needed

  1. Tap Edit Positions on any group
  2. Select the position(s) you'd like to add or remove
    • Positions that have a blue check will appear on the Setup
  3. Tap Save

These changes are not permanent. To edit Setups with permanent changes, check out Edit Setup Template


Edit Setup Groups

Setups automatically have the groups set through templates made by leaders, but these can be changed when needed

  1. Tap Add Group
  2. Select the Group(s) you'd like to add or remove
    • Groups that have a blue check will appear on the Setup
  3. Tap Save
    • Add Positions to the new group by tapping Add Positions

These changes are not permanent. To edit Setups with permanent changes, check out Edit Setup Template


Publish your Setup

  1. Once your Setup is complete, tap Publish in the top right corner
  2. Once published, you may be prompted to complete your next Setup
    • You can choose to do this now or later
