If you're trying to add a sensor in the Ecolab KitchenIQ™ app and receive an error stating the sensor is already in use on another account, here’s how to investigate and resolve it.
To edit Remote Monitoring settings, you must have the "Edit REM" permission. For more information on different role permissions visit Edit Role Permissions.
Identify Where the Alert Came From
- Look at the Account Name and Equipment Name mentioned in the alert message
- If you recognize the account/equipment, confirm you have access to it in the app
- If you do have access, proceed to the next steps
- If you do not have access or do not recognize the account or location at all, see below to submit a support ticket.
You Recognize and Have Access to the Other Account
- In the KitchenIQ app, switch to the referenced account.
- Need help? See Change Restaurant (Mobile) or Change Restaurant (Tablet)
- From the Menu, tap Remote Monitoring
- Tap the Equipment listed in the error
- Tap the sensor in question to open its details
- Scroll down and tap Delete Sensor
- Switch back to the original account and re-add the sensor
If you can't find the equipment or sensor, or aren't able to edit, submit a support ticket
You Don't Recognize or Have Access to the Account or Equipment
- If the account in the error is unfamiliar or inaccessible, our team can help. Please collect the following details and include them in your support request:
