Create Alert Rules

Alert Rules contain all the information necessary to notify your team when sensors have identified a potential problem with equipment. They control when alerts are sent, how they’re delivered (Push, SMS, Email), and who receives them.

To edit Remote Monitoring settings, you must have the "Edit REM" permission. For more information on different role permissions visit Edit Role Permissions.

Set Up Alert Rules

  1. From the Menu, tap Remote Monitoring
  2. Tap the gear icon in the top right corner
  3. Under Rules, tap + Create Rule
  4. Tap Get Started
  5. Select the Roles, Teams, or Users that should be notified when the alert rule triggers
  6. Set the alert schedule to be active during the desired days and times.
    • You can set alerts for specific shifts (day/night, weekday/weekend) or select Anytime for 24/7 alerts
  7. Select at least one delivery method: Push, SMS, Email, and/or Robo call
    • Selected delivery methods will show a checkmark
    • You can select more than one delivery method
  8. Select the equipment and sensors this rule should monitor
  9. Enable escalations if desired
    • Escalations notify additional recipients if an alert stays active after a set delay
    • If toggled on, you will select how long the alert can remain unresolved before escalation along with repeat interval and duration, who receives the escalation, and the delivery method
  10. Name the Alert Rule
  11. Review the Alert Rule and tap Finish to create your alert

Multiple Alert Rules can be created, and each can have one or more schedules, one or more employees or teams, and one or more notification types (in-app push, SMS text, or email). This flexibility allows you to create alert definitions tailored specifically to individuals, teams, and work schedules, and ensures that the appropriate people are notified when there is a problem to address.
