Create a new Food List to start organizing your food items and defining temperature compliance standards!
To create a Food List, you must have the "Manage Food Lists" permission. For more information on different role permissions visit Edit Role Permissions.
Create a Food List
- Navigate to the Ecolab KitchenIQ™ website
- Click on Food Lists in the left side menu
- Click on Create Food List
- Enter Food List Details:
- Title (required): Give your food list a descriptive name (e.g., "Grill Station Items," "Cold Prep Holding")
- Subtitle (optional): Add additional context if needed

Tap Create to save the food list
- The Create button is inactive until a title is entered
- Once saved, you will be routed directly into your new food list
- The food list will appear with an empty Food Items table, ready for you to start adding food items
- To exit without creating, tap the X, tap Cancel, or click outside the window

Organization vs. Location Level
The level at which your food list is created depends on your role:
- Organization Admin or Organization Manager: The food list is created as an Organization Food List and can be assigned to locations
- Location Manager: The food list is created as a Local Food List that applies only to your location
