Create new, reusable questions from your mobile device or the portal and add them to the Question Repository for use in checklists.
To create a question, you must have the "Manage Checklist Templates" permission. For more information on different role permissions visit Edit Role Permissions
Create a Question (Mobile)
- From the Menu, tap Checklists
- Tap the Checklist you want to add a new question to
- You can only add questions to Location-level Checklists. You cannot add questions to Organization-level Checklists in the mobile app.
- Tap the pencil icon in the top right corner
- Tap Add Questions
- In the Questions window, tap the + sign
- Enter the Question Title
- Enter a question subtitle, if desired
- Select the Answer Type
- The question type you select determines which configuration options are available, such as response options, enabling N/A response, required comments/photos, and compliance settings.
- Answer type cannot be changed once the question has been answered in a checklist submission.
- Add reference materials such as a file or URL (optional)
- Tap + Follow Up to add a follow up/corrective action (optional)
- Tap Save
- The Required setting is toggled on automatically. Toggle it off if the question should be optional
Once saved, the question becomes available in the Question Repository for use in checklists.
Create a Question (Portal)
- Navigate to the Ecolab KitchenIQ™ website
- Click on Checklists, then Questions in the left side menu
- Click on Create Question
- Enter the Question Title
- Enter a question subtitle, if desired
- Select the Answer Type
- The question type you select determines which configuration options are available, such as response options, enabling N/A response, required comments/photos, and compliance settings.
- Answer type cannot be changed once the question has been answered in a checklist submission.
- Add reference materials such as a file or URL (optional)
- To add a follow up/corrective action, click Add New on the left side (optional)
- To add additional follow up questions, click + Follow Up in the top right corner
- Click Save Question
Once saved, the question becomes available in the Question Repository for use in checklists.
